Kidworthy

Kidworthy is the umbrella name for all our Sunday Morning Children’s Ministries.  

KidWorthy encompasses Sparklers, Gems, and Curios and emphasizes the worth of children in God’s sight. Children are created and loved by God, and MBC is dedicated to helping our children grow to know who Jesus is while their parents learn in the Sunday morning service.  

  Newborn – up to Age 3  

Sparklers is where children begin their journey at MBC. From infants to young toddlers, this is a place for children to develop and discover.  This year (Fall 2010) the babies will be in the nursery upstairs while the Toddlers will have their own area in a classroom downstairs.  The Nursery is separated into three main areas designed to allow for a place to play, a place for mothers to nurse, and a sleep room for infants.   For both the Nursery and Toddler rooms, parents must sign their children in and out for security purposes.   

Preschool – Age 3-4

Gems is a wonderful place for young children to learn and play in a safe environment. Children are introduced to Biblical lessons through relevant stories, games, crafts and more! The curriculum is geared specifically to this age group to teach them who Jesus is. Gems classroom is located on the Lower Level and parents must sign their children in and out for security purposes.  Gems meet in their classroom at 10 a.m. (service time).   

Kindergarten – Gr. 5

“Curios” are items that are considered novel, items one would take great care of.  MBC highly values the children in our church, and we seek to take great care of their spiritual well being.  Curios, the Kindergarden – Grade 5 ages are invited to join the adults for the first music package at 10 a.m.  Then they will be dismissed for an exciting time together in the Games Room.  Teachers/leaders will all participate in the open session story-time where they will learn from the lives of some of the Old Testament characters and then break into small groups by ages to discuss the story.
